3rd Region Hoops— Calhoun KY is where it begins tonight, for the 3rd Region All “A” Tournament. It’s an Owensboro Catholic double-header as O’Cath takes on Cloverport to kick the night off & then Tim Riley & his Aces play Hancock Co to end the night.

On the girls side, O’Cath comes in ranked #9 in the state, sitting at (8-2) overall. The Lady Aces are led by Senior Hailee Johnson (17ppg, 6rpg) & Junior Karmin Riley (12ppg). Seniors Delaney Cooper, Jenna Krampe & Junior Aubrey Randolph also produce solid production for HC Michael Robertson. The Lady Aces come into the All “A” classic as a 60 point favorite over the Lady Aces of Cloverport. Cloverport comes into the meeting at (2-5) overall & are led by 8th Grader Campbell Moore who averages 8ppg & 8rpg.

On the Boys side, Owensboro Catholic comes into the matchup with a (5-3) overall record & winners of 3 straight. The Aces will be without Junior Vince Carrico who’s nursing a shoulder injury. Junior Luke Beikman leads the team at (20ppg & 7rpg). Senior Tutt Carrico (11ppg & 9rpg) has been solid for The Aces. Tim Riley’s group won the 3rd Region All A last season & will look to repeat this season & many will tab them as favorites to do so. Hancock County comes in with a (5-8) overall record. The Hornets are led by Junior Alex Madden (11ppg & 10rpg) & Junior Dylan Morris (11ppg & 5rpg). HC Josh Roberts comes in the underdog tonight & will look to turn heads in Calhoun.
